Latest consultation on Plan July 2018

Consultation on:

· Proposed South Lanarkshire Local Development Plan 2,

· Strategic Environmental Assessment - Environment Report Annex,

· Supporting Planning Guidance Renewable Energy.

 

I am emailing you because you either made a comment to South Lanarkshire Council Planning Service regarding the South Lanarkshire Local Development Plan 2 – Main Issues Report in 2016, or have asked to be consulted on the proposed LDP2.

 

The Council has now prepared a Proposed South Lanarkshire Local Development Plan 2, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Environment Report Annex, Supporting Planning Guidance on Renewable Energy and associated documents. As required under the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006 and section 16 of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, South Lanarkshire Council is seeking comments on these documents.

 

The documents  can be viewed at all libraries in South Lanarkshire and the Council Offices at Montrose Crescent, Hamilton. In addition the plan and associated documents can be accessed through the Council’s website at https://www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk/info/200145/planning_and_building_standards/39/development_plans/2

We would invite comments in relation to these documents during the consultation period which runs until 21st September 2018 at 3p.m. The Council encourages consultees to respond to this consultation using its internet consultation portal on the Council’s website, www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk, or by typing, http://southlanarkshire.limehouse.co.uk/portal/ldp2_1/ldp2c/ directly into a browser address bar.

 

Written or email comments will also be acceptable. Please specify whether your comments relate to the Proposed Plan, the Environment Report Annex, the Supporting Planning Guidance on Renewable Energy or associated documents and where appropriate refer to the appropriate section or paragraph numbers.

South Lanarkshire Council has prepared a Main Issues Report (MIR), Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Associated Technical Reports for the South Lanarkshire Local Development Plan 2. As required under the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006 and the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, South Lanarkshire Council is seeking comments on the MIR, the Environment Report and the associated technical reports.

The documents will be available on the Councils web site, in all libraries and  Q&A’s in South Lanarkshire and in Montrose House, Hamilton for the consultation period which runs for 8 weeks from 16th March to 12th May 2017. The link to the documents is

Stonehosue community council have made some of these avaialble on our site although some documents are to large for our site.

Supplementary sites consultation

Additional Sites Assessment

Introduction

As part of the consultation and engagement process for preparation of the Main

Issues Report (MIR), the Council invited interested parties to put forward sites they

considered should be included in the LDP2. These were assessed and subject to

public consultation in Technical Report 2, which accompanied the MIR.

During the consultation period of the MIR (March to May 2017) a further 32 sites

were brought forward for consideration. These sites have been assessed in the same

way as the initial call for sites received.
