LOCAL PLAN MAIN ISSUES REPORT SEA & TECHNICAL REPORTS

South Lanarkshire Council has prepared a Main Issues Report (MIR), Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Associated Technical Reports for the South Lanarkshire Local Development Plan 2. As required under the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006 and the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, South Lanarkshire Council is seeking comments on the MIR, the Environment Report and the associated technical reports.

In addition the Council has prepared Non-Statutory Planning Guidance on Minerals and this is also open for public consultation.

The documents will be available on the Councils web site, in all libraries and  Q&A’s in South Lanarkshire and in Montrose House, Hamilton for the consultation period which runs for 8 weeks from 16th March to 12th May 2017. The link to the documents is

The Council encourages consultees to respond to this consultation using its internet consultation portal on the Council’s website, www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk, or by typing, http://southlanarkshire-consult.limehouse.co.uk/portal , directly into a browser address bar.

Written or email comments will also be acceptable. Please specify whether your comments relate to the MIR, the SEA, the Technical Reports or the Non-Statutory Planning Guidance on Minerals and where appropriate refer to the appropriate section or paragraph numbers.
