A71 AYR ROAD, STONEHOUSE 
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER 2020 
On 21/08/2020 South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on A71 Ayr Road, Stonehouse between Canderside Toll and Lockhart St Roundabout 
(Stonehouse By Pass). The Order will be in operation from 17/10/2020 to 18/10/2020.  
On 17/10/2020 restrictions will apply to the westbound carriageway only – access from Stonehouse to Canderside Toll will be maintained 
On 18/10/2020 restrictions will apply to both carriageways and there will be no access between Canderside Toll and Stonehouse. 
Alternative routes are via A71 Swinhill Rd, A72 Lanark Rd, Carlisle Rd, A723 Duke St, Low Waters Rd, Strathaven Rd, Commercial Rd, Townhead St, A71 Kirk St and Stonehouse Rd.
