South Lanarkshire Council (Stonehouse area 20mph Speed Limit) Order 2020

On 6 January 2021 South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, to cause or permit any vehicle to drive at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour on the lengths of roads detailed below:-
Newfield Primary School
Muirhead, Stonehouse, both directions – From a point 10 metres north-east of the extended north-east kerbline of Udston Mill Road, north-eastwards and northwards to a point 41 metres south of the extended south kerbline of Brankston Avenue, a distance of 370 metres or thereby.
Stonehouse Primary School
Sidehead Road, Stonehouse, both directions – From the extended south-east kerbline of Townhead Street, southwards to the extended north kerbline of Naismith Court, a distance of 104 metres or thereby.
Strathaven Road, Stonehouse, both directions – From a point 89 metres north-east of the extended north-east kerbline of Sorbie Drive, to its junction with Townhead Street, a distance of 61 metres or thereby.
Townhead Street, Stonehouse, both directions – From the extended south-west kerbline of Vicar’s Road, south-westwards to its junction with Strathaven Road, a distance of164 metres or thereby.
The Order will come into operation at 0001 hours on 3 February 2021 and will remain in operation until 2400 hours on 3 August 2022.
